U.S. Coast Guard Commandant Adm. Bob Papp to deliver the annual State of the Coast Guard Address at U.S. Coast Guard Headquarters, Washington, D.C.

WASHINGTON — U.S. Coast Guard Commandant Adm. Bob Papp will deliver the 2014 State of the Coast Guard Address Feb. 26, 2014, in the Cdr. Raymond J. "Ray" Evans Conference Center at U.S. Coast Guard Headquarters, beginning at 10:30 a.m.

This will be Adm. Papp's final State of the Coast Guard Address. He will participate in a media availability event immediately following the address.

WHO: Adm. Bob Papp, commandant, U.S. Coast Guard

WHAT: The State of the Coast Guard Address. This is an annual speech delivered by the commandant to provide a current overview of the service and to outline his priorities for the years ahead.

WHEN: The address will begin at 10:30 a.m., Feb. 26, 2014

WHERE: Cdr. Raymond J. "Ray" Evans Conference Center, U.S. Coast Guard Headquarters, St. Elizabeths Campus, Washington, D.C., 20593

There will be parking available at the St. Elizabeths Campus for media members, if they are driving. For media members using public transportation, take Metrorail to the Anacostia Metro Station (Green Line), the closest station to the St. Elizabeths Campus. Once there, take the Coast Guard Headquarters Metrobus (A4) shuttle to the campus. The shuttle runs every five minutes and regular Metrobus fare will be charged.
