NEW YORK – Damage assessment and recovery teams from the Coast Guard Pacific Strike Team surveyed Sheepshead Bay, N.Y., to identify actionable hazardous material releases and debris, and oversee shoreline assessments in Nov. 2, 2012. The team surveyed sunken vessels, oil-covered debris, and waste in the waterway, as contracted teams began cleanup efforts.
