Coast Guard suspends search for missing boater near Ocean City, NJ

The Coast Guard suspended its search Monday for a boater who was reported missing Sunday after a boating accident near Longport, New Jersey.

Missing is Andrew Biddle, 45.

Personnel from Longport Police contacted Coast Guard watchstanders at approximately 11:30 p.m. Sunday and reported a boater swam to shore after being in a boating accident aboard a pontoon boat. The boater stated the pontoon's operator was missing.

Multiple Coast Guard helicopter and boat crews searched for Biddle for approximately 18 hours covering an area of approximately 60 square miles.
