ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The Coast Guard medevaced a 46-year old man from a fishing boat 64 miles northwest of Venice, Florida, Friday. 

At approximately 1:24 p.m. watchstanders from Coast Guard Sector St. Petersburg received a call via VHF-FM channel 16 stating a 46-year old Keith Clancy, aboard the fishing vessel Miss Brianna, was losing consciousness and needed emergency medical assistance. A flight surgeon was notified and recommended Clancy be medevaced. 

At approximately 2:45 p.m. an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew from Air Station Clearwater, Florida, arrived on scene, hoisted Clancy, and transported him to Brookside Middle School's sports field, in Sarasota, Florida, to meet Sarasota EMS for further medical assistance.
