PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Coast Guard and Navy personnel are scheduled to conduct a joint training exercise with the Spirit of Norfolk in the lower Chesapeake Bay 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday.
The exercise is intended to promote coordination between military units.
During the exercise, a safety broadcast on Channel 16 will be sent to maritime traffic in the vicinity of the exercise to warn boaters of the event.
