Holling and other members of the local chiefs mess and members of the Northcoast Chapter of the Chief Petty Officers Association were on hand to thank the members of the VFW post for funding and dedicating a Coast Guard memorial bench at their post in August 2012.

The ensign, which was flown aboard one of the station's response boats, was presented to thank the members of the VFW post for supporting the Coast Guard's Cleveland-Area Chiefs Mess and Northcoast Chapter of the Chief Petty Officers Association as well as thank them for funding and dedicating a Coast Guard memorial bench at their post in August 2012.
