CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A woman suffering from seizures was medevaced by a Coast Guard rescue helicopter crew from a charter fishing vessel, 18 miles offshore from the Port Aransas Jetties, Saturday.
At approximately 7 p.m., the captain of the fishing vessel, La Pesca, contacted the watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Corpus Christi when a passenger onboard the vessel started having seizures.
Sector Corpus Christi launched a rescue helicopter and crew to assist.
Once on scene, the aircrew of the rescue helicopter lowered their rescue swimmer to stabilize the patient and assist with completing the hoist.
The woman was taken to Spohn Shoreline Hospital and has been reported as being in stable condition.
