MIAMI — The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for nine fishermen after their vessel became disabled and started drifting in the vicinity of Labadee, Haiti, Friday.
Coast Guard Seventh District command center describes the vessel as a small grey fishing vessel called the Aisha.
An Air Station Clearwater MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew, forward deployed in Great Inagua, Bahamas, was launched and searched with the Coast Guard Cutter Northland through the night.
After completing the overnight searches, The cutter Northland remains on scene searching and the helicopter crew plans on searching again later this evening.
