WILMINGTON, N.C. – Crew members aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Diligence are celebrating the cutters’ 50th anniversary starting Saturday with a charity golf tournament at Magnolia Greens golf course to support veteran’s programs at Cape Fear Community College and Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Lifecare Center.

The cutter will also be open for tours on the following days:
- Saturday from 12 p.m. to 5pm.
- Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6pm.
These tours will be interactive and offer visitors and opportunity to experience what life is like aboard the cutter at sea.
The official 50th anniversary ceremony will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Coast Guard moorings in downtown Wilmington. The ceremony is open to the public.

The Diligence is a 210-foot medium endurance cutter homeported in Wilmington, North Carolina with a crew of approximately 75.
